Thank you for visiting Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Associates. Both of our Madison and Flowood, Mississippi offices are pleased to serve patients in the surrounding communities across central Mississippi.
Our team of oral surgeons provides services to patients of all ages and with all types of health needs related to the mouth, jaw, teeth and maxillofacial region. Dr. Donald L. Seago, Dr. Stephen R. Gandy and Dr. David E. Seago consider your comfort, health and recovery is our top priority, and we work diligently to make sure you are at ease during your procedure and experience minimal pain during the recuperation period following an operation.
Our state-of-the-art offices have everything our Madison and Flowood oral surgeons need to complete your procedure without you having to be admitted to a hospital. We have a friendly support staff that includes qualified surgical assistants trained to assist in our in-office intravenous sedation and anesthesia. Our staff will monitor your condition and progress every moment of your operation while our oral surgeons work quickly to relieve you of the conditions affecting your health.
One of the most common operations we perform is wisdom teeth extraction among young adults. As wisdom teeth erupt during the later teen years, they may cause overcrowding due to impactions, causing a great deal of pain and even infections. When the wisdom teeth are extracted there is no longer a competition for space in the mouth, and many patients experience relief from the pain and other symptoms they experienced prior to the surgery.
Other dentist surgical procedures we offer include corrective jaw surgery, TMJ treatment, dental implants, bone grafting and diagnosis and treatment of oral lesions. Cancerous and non-cancerous oral tumors occur in the mouth's mucus lining. Our doctors can examine growths and oral tumors and remove them if necessary, and send the tissue samples to a laboratory for evaluation. Due to the potentially urgent nature of oral tumors and growths, however, we recommend patients who notice changes in the mucus lining of the mouth seek immediate medical attention.
